Interior Designer job is available, with a growing architecture and design firm in Manhattan, New York City. The role will see you involved in all aspects of commercial and corporate interior design, assisting with concept, space planning, test fits and then overseeing aspects of design development, FF&E, and installations. The position is offering a salary of up to $95,000 + hybrid working + 401k & other benefits.

Established in 2005, our client has grown and developed over the years, now completing circa140 projects a year for a range of clients, both locally in New York and internationally; typically ranging between 5,000 - 50,000 SF. This role will see you join their design team of 15, working alongside the Director of Design on a daily basis, you will have the opportunity to be involved in all stages of design and the firm actively promote continued development and career progression so this is a good opportunity for an experienced interior designer to further their career within the workplace/commercial design sector.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist with space place and test-fits
  • Concept design and development alongside the Director of Design and Senior Designers
  • Specification of materials, finishes, lighting and branding
  • FF&E sourcing, specification, scheduling and procurement
  • 2D technical designs and 3D renderings
  • Visit sites and oversee installations with guidance from the wider team.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years' experience within workplace/corporate design, ideally with a large design firm
  • Degree qualified in interior design or similar
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit also welcome), SketchUp and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, In-Design, & Illustrator)
  • Experience/understanding of FF&E specification and procurement.
