Interior Designer Job in Manhattan, New York

A global hospitality design firm is looking to fill an Intermediate Interior Designer job with their growing studio in Manhattan, New York! The practice is looking for someone with 2+ years of experience, ideally from a high-end hospitality design firm and with a good amount of exposure to the CD, SD, DD, and CD phases. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced junior interior designer or early-stage intermediate interior designer looking for their next opportunity.

Our client has been established for over 30 years and is now one of the most recognized hospitality design firms with studios across the globe. Their projects are completed to a high standard and involve highly bespoke and timeless designs. As part of this position, the successful candidate will be working alongside an immediate team of six and assisting with aspects of interior architecture, documentation, and scheduling for luxury projects worldwide.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design and development of presentation materials and documentation
  • Progress schematic designs into design development drawings and materials
  • Assist with construction documentation
  • FF&E specification and scheduling, including finishes, sanitary ware, ironmongery, millwork, etc.
  • Production and development of interior construction documents and detailing.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified in interior design or similar
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and ideally Revit and 3Ds Max
  • 2+ years of industry experience, within high-end hospitality design (hotel or F&B)
  • Knowledge and experience with CD, SD, DD, and CD phases.
