Interior Designer Job in Manhattan, New York

New requirement for an Intermediate Interior Designer job in Manhattan, New York, with a leading commercial and hospitality design firm. Working as part of a talented team of designers covering all phases of interior design for projects across the globe. Offering a salary of $85,000 - $125,000 plus benefits and hybrid working.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Attend client meetings, virtually and in-person
  • Concept design and development
  • Establish and advise clients on space planning and layouts, FF&E, and color coordination
  • Create schematic designs in 2D and produce 3D renderings/perspectives
  • Establish and maintain a project timeline and material costs, budgets, and lead times
  • Present designs/schemes to clients/internally for approval
  • Liaise with the wider architectural and project management teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of industry experience, primarily within high-end hospitality
  • Degree qualified in interior design or similar; additional qualifications such as LEED or NCIDQ would be beneficial but not essential
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, 3DS Max, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite
  • Proven experience working across all stages of design, including concept design and presenting to clients
  • Experience with design specifications, construction documents, and renovation projects
  • Project management/scheduling experience.
