Interior Designer Job in Manhattan, New York

Due to continued expansion our client is hiring for an Intermediate Interior Designer job for their New York City office, focused on delivering workplace/office interiors for clients across the city. The opportunity provides exposure to all stages of design, seeing the successful candidate lead, design, develop, and deliver projects. Competitive salary offered plus extensive benefits package.

Specialising in corporate interiors this practice has a long-standing history of working with prestigious clients across the globe in both the workplace and retail sector. The team of almost 200 work from two offices in New York, covering all stages of architecture and design. Due to continued expansion of their portfolio they're now looking to appoint an Intermediate Interior Designer/Mid-Weight Interior Designer on a full-time permanent basis.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Work across all stages of design, from concept to completion
  • Take the lead on smaller projects
  • Liaise with clients from initial briefing to completion
  • Design and development of preliminary requirement programs, test-fits, schematic design, program analysis, and basic code analysis
  • Budget designation, assessment, and management
  • FF&E selection and specification
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers
  • Occasional site visits

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years' experience within corporate/workplace design, ideally with a top NY-based firm
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Prior involvement in all stages of design, from concept to completion
  • Client-facing experience
  • Degree qualified, preferred
