Mid-Weight Interior Designer Job in St. Albans, Hertfordshire

Mid-Weight Interior Designer job now available with a small workplace fit-out firm looking to bring their design offerings in-house. The role is based from their office in St. Albans and offers a salary of up to £45,000 plus hybrid working.

With a portfolio of projects across London and the Home Counties, this firm has been going from strength to strength over the years and is now looking to hire a Mid-Weight Interior Designer on a full-time basis to take the lead on projects across all stages. Currently the design element is being managed by external contractors. You will be assisting with client contact, concept design, technical design, and managing the delivery. Some experience with FF&E selection is also required, however, procurement is not a responsibility of this position.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Work with the sales team and liaise with clients from initial contact
  • Concept design and pitching
  • Product technical drawings in both AutoCAD (2D) and 3D renders in SketchUp
  • FF&E selection and specification, including off-the-shelf lighting
  • Budget management
  • Liaising with contractors and suppliers
  • Site visits

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years' experience in workplace/commercial design
  • Ideally degree qualified in interior design or similar
  • Strong AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite skills
  • FF&E experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence and a car is desirable
