Are you an experienced Interior Designer that is looking for a unique opportunity to join an up-and-coming design practice based in Chelsea, London? You will need to be a competent Vectorworks user with experience working across all stages of a project. The role will see you work directly with the founder and its clients to establish and create beautiful designs for a wide array of residential projects across the UK. There will be the chance to grow and develop in this role as the business continues to expand.
The practice has a warm and eclectic design aesthetic that utilises a wide range of bespoke pieces and antiques to create distinctive interiors for a wide range of clientele. The role will provide an opportunity to work directly with the creative director of the business, involved in all stages from concept to completion. This role will be a pivotal position to the business as it continues to expand and further its pipeline of work in the coming years.
Role & Responsibilities
- Work across all stages of design, from concept through to completion
- Produce technical drawings and tender packages, including joinery detailing
- FF&E specification, selection, scheduling, and procurement (including sourcing antiques)
- Assist in the design and detailing of bespoke furniture
- Prepare project deliverables, such as presentations, concept designs, mood boards, and completion presentations
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors
- Assist with the building and expansion of the company's client base
- Travel to sites/suppliers/clients as and when required.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years' of industry experience, ideally working with a Top 100 House & Garden practice
- Degree qualified in interior design, interior architecture, architecture, furniture or product design
- Strong Vectorworks skills, plus the ability to use EstiMac, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Client-facing experience and confident communicator
- Strong knowledge of suppliers and bespoke FF&E
- Hand sketching skills are desirable.
