Job Description

Be part of our client's team as an Internal Sales / Estimator, where you will interpret tender documents, produce accurate commercial project estimates, and craft competitive pricing strategies. Your follow-through on submitted bids plays a critical role in converting opportunities into contract awards and advancing high-value access and construction projects.

    • The Qualifications We Seek

    Technical Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in estimating building construction materials for the supply and installation of metal door frames, fire doors, and timber doors
  • Experience in the commercial building industry
  • Ability to interpret and analyze plans, specifications, and schedules
  • Solid understanding of contracts
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, clients, specifiers, and subcontractors
  • Proficiency in using the Windows suite of tools

  • Ability to build strong relationships and effectively influence and mentor stakeholders
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities
  • Excellent planning, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Your Daily Tasks

  • Sourcing tender and quote information from clients and contact platforms, including Cordell and newspaper tenders
  • Programming tenders to meet required closing dates
  • Reviewing tender documents (plans, specifications, and schedules) to identify quantities and requirements
  • Determining prices using price lists and additional research
  • Compiling quotations using the required tender format
  • Following up on quotes to identify successful builders
  • Negotiating sales based on rates approved by management
  • Revising tender details for orders before presenting them to Project Administrators
  • Administering projects and preparing product details for manufacturing as needed
  • Performing other duties assigned by the Sales Manager or Supervisor
