What You'll Do
Be part of our client's team as an Inventory Manager, responsible for overseeing the entire inventory lifecycle across Amazon, 3PL partners, and other channels. You'll ensure optimal stock levels, accurate forecasts, and seamless fulfillment-all while supporting business growth and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain operations, or logistics
- Proven expertise in Amazon Vendor Central, with hands-on experience in forecasting and restock planning
- Strong background as an Inventory Manager with emphasis on forecasting accuracy, demand planning, replenishment execution, and inventory control
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of SKUs (1,000+ items)
- Experience managing 3PL partnerships and vendor relationships
- Proven record of reducing stockouts, improving inventory turns, and driving process improvements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with AI-engineered forecasting tools
- Highly analytical with keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong negotiation and supplier relationship management
Preferred Qualifications:
- APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent supply chain certification
- Familiarity with AI-driven retail analytics platforms (e.g., DataRobot, AWS SageMaker, ChatGPT-based analysis workflows, or custom ML pipelines)
- Experience using AI-based visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Looker integrated with AI)
- Ability to work with large language models (LLMs) for ad-hoc analyses, business summaries, and decision support
- Awareness of emerging AI tools for e-commerce, such as AI-based keyword optimization or AI-powered advertising analytics
Your Key Contributions
Inventory Oversight & Accuracy
- Create restock plans and send replenishment orders based on forecasts and Amazon's recommended restock limits
- Conduct daily reconciliation between Amazon Seller/Vendor Central, 3PL systems, and ERP to ensure accuracy of on-hand and available-to-sell inventory
- Monitor inbound purchase orders, lead times, and carrier performance to ensure inventory arrives ahead of forecasted demand
- Implement cycle counts and audit processes with 3PLs to maintain 98%+ inventory accuracy
- Maintain a healthy Inventory Performance Index (IPI) by balancing in-stock rates and reducing excess inventory
- Track inbound shipments and confirm on-time delivery to Amazon warehouses
Forecasting & Replenishment
- Develop forecasting models using Amazon reports (e.g., Inventory Health, Business Reports) and external tools
- Collaborate with Demand Planning and Sales teams to translate forecasts into purchase orders and replenishment schedules
- Build and maintain safety stock models by product category, adjusting for seasonality, promotions, and market trends
- Identify SKUs at risk of stockout or overstock and provide mitigation plans to Account Managers and leadership
Supplier & 3PL Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers and 3PL partners, ensuring accountability for on-time shipments, fill rate targets, and service-level agreements
- Escalate recurring supplier or logistics issues and recommend alternative sourcing or distribution solutions
- Negotiate with 3PLs for storage and fulfillment efficiencies to reduce costs while ensuring timely delivery to customers
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Evaluate and optimize order management, replenishment, and shipping processes to reduce cost-to-serve
- Ensure compliance with Amazon and marketplace requirements for packaging, labeling, preparation, and shipping
- Coordinate with Marketing and Advertising teams to align promotions with available inventory
- Partner with Quality Assurance to analyze defective or returned products and implement corrective actions with suppliers
Data & Reporting
- Build weekly and monthly reports tracking inventory health, including turns, weeks of supply, days on hand, stockouts, and aged inventory
- Use data to recommend SKU rationalization, portfolio optimization, and readiness for new product launches
- Prepare executive-level reports on inventory KPIs with actionable insights and recommendations
- Monitor storage fees, long-term storage costs, and removal activities to minimize waste
