Dutton Recruitment require a IT Service Desk/Desktop Support member to join an established team based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

The post holder will provide technical advice and support for all RMBC Information Systems, Including, laptops, printers, telephones,mobile devices and all other desktop based hardware and software.

Key Duties/Areas of Responsibility

  • To provide a first line support service for the resolution of ICT issues.
  • To aid in the delivery of ICT Service and Change Requests.
  • Ensure that work is carried out in an efficient and effective manner, in line with appropriate standards and procedures.
  • Ensure work is carried out within current change control, configuration management, and release management procedures and that testing has been completed successfully to current Quality and Assurance guidelines.
  • Ensure the service provision is carried out to set guidelines by the ICT Customer Service Manager.
  • Proactively seek enhancements to the ICT Customer Service Function.
  • To be aware of major issues, trends and developments in ICT, both current and prospective.
  • Work closely with other specialists and lead specialists to achieve a comprehensive and cohesive service to the customer, and identify issues and projects that may impact the service.
  • Carry out projects or more specialist work
  • Carry out analysis and interpretation of different types of information from a variety of sources to resolve technical issues
