Our client works closely with employers to identify the characteristics and skills they are looking for in potential employees. These desirable attributes help to form their learning programmes, ensuring your future employability is a focus throughout your studies. They have been rated "good with exceptional areas" by Ofsted and 95% of their students progress directly into employment or higher-level learning.
Our client is currently looking for a Job Coach to join their friendly team in Surrey. The successful candidate will support young people with SEND who are on the Employability programmes within the Supported Learning Department and their employers to coach the young people towards permanent sustained employment. This is a full time role - 37 hours per week, 40 weeks term time only.
Role responsibilities
You will act as an ambassador for young people with SEND in the economic community and promote their abilities and potential positive contribution to the working population.
Liaise with key employers and identify potential work for young people with special needs, matching to young people's skills and potential. To liaise with the curriculum teams to provide pre training, on the job training and support for young people and employers, liaising with tutors as appropriate.
To progress young people to Supported Internships/Employment wherever possible.
To diligently record learners progress using identified paperwork and compete the necessary health and safety paperwork to ensure the workplace is compliant in meeting the Colleges' minimum standard and is a safe environment for the learners
The person & qualifications
Previous experience as a Job Coach
Ideally working with SEND students
Maths & English at Grace C or above
