Junior Commercial Administrator

Location: Flexible working available, where you will be based out of our Basingstoke office with home working available

Business Area: Kier Places - Facilities Management

Contract & hours: 12 months Maternity Cover, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Salary: £18,000 to £21,000 + a competitive benefits package

Kier Places are recruiting now for a Junior Commercial Administrator to join our Facilities Management Commercial team at our Basingstoke office, to work as a member of the billing/invoicing team to ensure work is charged to our client in a timely and presentable manner, including the monitoring and reduction of contract work in progress and reporting on contract performance.

Key Responsibilities

In this exciting and varied role, you will provide administrative support to the business - ensuring information is prepared and presented to help in accurate and timely pricing and billing of reactive maintenance works to our clients. The role will look after contract billing, pricing tasks, creating applications, and raising invoices. Once fully trained this role could also look to support of London Fire Brigade contract during periods of sickness and annual leave to ensure resilience within the team.

As an Administrator in this team, you'll review and analyse the cost of labour, materials, plant and subcontractors to ensure charges are allocated to the correct job number as well as review the job cost information to ensure all works undertaken are correctly charged to our clients. Liaising with the appropriate Quantity Surveyor, Contract Manager, Quotes Team or Helpdesk Team to obtain supporting information you will enable the production of sales invoices and help generate cash flow.

What do we need from you?

Experience within an Administrative role is essential; if you have previous experience of billing, finance, debt management, project or commercial administration even better! You should also have excellent communication skills and be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
