Junior Interior Designer Job in New York

Junior Interior Designer job available with a commercial design firm, focused on the retail sector. This role will give an experienced designer the opportunity to further their career and work across all stages of design for speciality stores, department stores, health and wellness stores, F&B, and much more!

Specialising in corporate interiors this practice has a long-standing history of working with prestigious clients across the globe in both the workplace and retail sector. The team of almost 200 is based from their two offices in New York, covering all stages of architecture and design. Due to continued expansion of their portfolio they're now looking to appoint a Junior Interior Designer on a full-time permanent basis.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist with all stages of design from concept to completion
  • Creation of concept designs and presentations, mood boards, samples, etc.
  • Technical design - creation of layouts, elevations, space planning, and bespoke joinery/FF&E
  • Design development
  • Occasional site or client visits

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years' experience within retail or hospitality design, branding experience also considered
  • Experience working on concept designs, design detailing, and FF&E specification
  • Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, and AutoCAD
  • 3D Modelling experience is also a benefit
