Junior Interior Designer Job in Lower Manhattan, New York

New Junior Interior Design position with a high-end design firm in Lower Manhattan, New York. This role will be focused on high-end hospitality projects across the globe, as part of a talented team of designers and architects. Offering a starting salary of up to $80,000 plus benefits.

The firm has a timeless design aesthetic, influenced by experiences, art, and design. They currently operate from two offices, in New York and one in London, and have completed projects globally. With a strong pipeline of work, our client is now looking for a Junior Interior Designer with a year or two of industry experience and who shares a passion for unique and exquisite interiors.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist the design team across the full design life cycle from concept to completion
  • Produce concept design documents for high-end hospitality projects (2D, 3D, and hand-sketches)
  • Production of design documents across DD, CD sets, and scheduling
  • FF&E specification and design; keeping up to date on trends.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of industry experience within hospitality design
  • Degree qualified in interior design or similar
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Vray, and the Adobe Suite
  • Experience producing 2D drawings and 3D renderings
  • FF&E specification and procurement experience is highly desirable.
