Junior Interior Designer Job in Leatherhead, Surrey

Junior Interior Designer required to join a small boutique interior design firm, working closely with the founder of the business to complete a wide range of contemporary projects across the high-end residential and commercial sectors. The position is flexible and can be offered on either a permanent or freelance basis.

An up-and-coming design firm based in Surrey is looking for an experienced Junior Interior Designer that has 1-2 years in the industry and is looking to further their career within the sector. You will be working across all stages of the design process and have involvement in the interior architecture, FF&E, procurement, and on-site management.

Role & Responsibilities

  • To assist with and create technical drawings, mostly in 2D
  • FF&E specification, selection, and procurement
  • Liaise with third parties, including suppliers and contractors
  • On-site work
  • Assist with client presentations and design development

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1 - 2 years' experience, ideally within the high-end residential sector
  • Degree qualified in interior design or similar
  • Good knowledge of suppliers and FF&E
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to travel to site - driving licence and a car would be advantageous

What you get back

  • Salary of £25,000 - £28,000
  • Negotiable day rate if freelance is preferred
