Junior Planner required for prestigious offsite construction company. Reporting to the Preconstruction Planner, working across functions including Design, Manufacturing and Construction, you will be playing a key role within the Planning function in developing, implementing and managing the project programmes. You will also be a key player during the construction phase of each new build contract, and be involved in the regular updating of construction programmes and daily reports, advising of slippage and delay risks to the programmes.
As Junior Planner, you will be liaising closely with the supply chain including external contractors and suppliers, organising the various phases of construction development. Your internal liaison will be an important element of improving project programmes. You will be communicating with your customer's team, ensuring they are fully updated with progress against programme.
About you:
- Able to demonstrate a good understanding of various elements of the construction industry, including design, procurement and production as well as commissioning processes
- Good working knowledge of, and experience with, MS Project and/or Asta Powerproject
- Advanced IT skills, particularly with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe
- Strong communication skills, working as part of a multifunctional team
- Proactive team player, assertive and with strong negotiation skills
