Dove and Hawk are partnering with a reputable, well-established multi-branch estate agency to find a Junior/Trainee Property Manager for their Lettings team in Tooting. This position is ideal for someone seeking to transition from an administrative or negotiator role within the industry and advance into the property management sector.
Duties/Functions of the Role
* Handle maintenance requests and quickly coordinate between tenants and landlords to resolve issues.
* Prioritize and address key maintenance issues like floods, boiler problems, leaks, and broken appliances.
* Review and evaluate repair quotes on behalf of the client.
* Add value when sending inspection reports.
* Consistently leave notes in the system and attach relevant documents.
* Set and follow up on tasks to manage issues efficiently and support your colleagues when you're not available.
* Learn about client accounts and financial statements.
* Attend weekly one-on-one meetings with the Lettings team.
* Understand the roles of other departments (lettings, compliance, accounts, and tenancy progression) and when to contact them.
* Ensure all properties meet compliance standards, like having valid electrical and gas safety certificates. (EICR, Gas Safety Certificate)
* Follow department standards.
* Keep both tenants and landlords informed about the end of tenancy process.
Requirements of the role:
* Prior experience working administrator or negotiator within the property industry
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Professional attitude
* Good timekeeping
* Client focused
* Hard working
* No driving license required
Salary Budgets: £26 - 28,000per annum
Required working Days & Hours: Monday - Friday 8:45 - 6:30 (No Saturday work is required)
