We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Strategic Development - Land Acquisition Manager to help develop and drive the forward planning strategy throughout the UK to maintain, optimise and grow our aggregates, concrete, asphalt and cement businesses as well as helping to deliver our net zero targets.
As part of the Land & Mineral Resources Strategic Development Team the role would require you to:-
- Take a lead in identifying industrial sites and securing all necessary land deals required by the business.
- Working alongside our Strategic Development - Geological Manager secure all necessary land & mineral deals required for all identified mineral prospects.
- Chase and co-ordinate relevant stakeholders to complete all necessary property transactions on time in accordance with agreed heads of terms.
- Liaise with consultants, engineers, solicitors, and others in the professional team, ensuring that the most suitable sites are brought forward and secured.
- Network with commercial agents, land brokers and other relevant parties, forging excellent relationships to maintain a strong pipeline of potential sites.
- Prepare and submit tenders and offers for new sites.
The successful candidate will:-
* Possess a proactive, commercial and enterprising mindset with a high level of drive and determination.
* Communicate clearly, professionally and confidently with landowners and sellers.
* Have excellent negotiation skills and able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Enjoy working as part of an ambitious team and independently.
* Able to plan, organise and prioritise work on their own initiative.
* Experience within the construction materials sector is not essential as support and training will be provided to the right candidate.
