Landscape Planner Job in Oxford
We have a great new opportunity for a Landscape Planner to join a highly successful consultancy. The role will see you working on an exciting range of projects that look to tackle climate breakdown and biodiversity loss. The role offers a range of benefits including flexible working.
My client is an established yet growing landscape consultancy who has 40 years of expertise and know how to deliver high-quality design and placemaking. With eight offices across the UK, each with its own personality; and made up of an established team of urban designers, landscape architects, planners, and architects. The role offers flexible working with home working available. Due to ongoing success, they are seeking a Landscape Planner to join its Oxford office.
Role & Responsibilities
- Working on a range of project types from national transport infrastructure to urban regeneration
- Production of LVIA and associated documents
- Working with internal and external teams
- Production of design and technical drawing packages.
Required Skills & Experience
- Qualified Landscape Architect or Urban designer
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of project experience
- Passion for working to tackle climate breakdown and Biodiversity loss
- Strong understanding of landscape legislation policy and guidance including greenbelt policy
- Knowledge of the theory and practice of relevant guidance including LCA and LVIA with experience of undertaking LVIAs across sectors
- Confident in the understanding of the character assessment process
- A flair for the creative application of LVIA and landscape character appraisal to inform design and mitigation via an iterative process
- Confident in communicating with colleagues and external teams
- Knowledge of and proven abilities in GIS. Experience in graphics software and/or AutoCAD is desirable but not essential.
