We are currently working with an international environmental consultancy who have a new Landscape Technical Director job available. This role would see you take a lead role in the running and growth of the Landscape team. This role offers a competitive package and agile working options.

This international environmental consultancy is an industry leader in environmental and advisory solutions. The company operates in 13 countries with over 100 office locations housing its staff of 2000 people. The company is passionate about the welfare and development of its team with company policies that offer agile working which allows staff to tailor hours worked around core hours, and their family friendly policies help balance the needs of professional and family life. Due to continued success, they are now seeking a Landscape technical Director. Due to the company's agile working policy, they will consider applicants across the UK.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Managing and developing client relationships
  • Take a lead role in the delivery and management of projects across a number of sectors
  • Offer support and leadership to junior team members and the wider team
  • Working collaboratively with other departments in the company
  • Business development including preparing fee tenders and securing of new commissions for the team
  • Working to develop the Landscape team with continuous training and growth.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Landscape architectural degree, postgraduate diploma and chartered status.
  • Experience in LVIA and landscape master planning is required, and any experience as an expert witness an advantage
  • Extensive experience within a consultancy, studio, or similar commercial environment
  • An ability to think strategically, conceptually and analytically while maintaining a focus on wide-ranging or long-term implications
  • An understanding of landscape planning methodologies and experience at drafting related reports (skills in both technical report writing and in the preparation of graphic material are required)
  • An effective and confident communicator (both written and oral) to a broad audience, with the ability to work collaboratively.
