Laser operator required for role in Leicestershire

My client based in East Goscote is looking for a laser operator to join their team on a permanent basis. The company prefer at least 1-2 years of experience setting up and programming laser/punch machines. They must have experience in setting up and adjusting laser and/or punch machines, along with maintaining laser optics.

Shift times

Rotating shifts - 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday

The candidate will also get £100 on their birthday every year.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and adjustment of material.
  • Locate and upload proper program from machine control.
  • Ensure optimal laser cutting conditions.
  • Work with engineering and operations to ensure finished products are produced in the safest, effective manner, while maintaining high quality control standards.
  • Loading and unloading of product to machine carefully and with attention to detail.
  • Responsible for properly packaging, identifying and moving all finished products to the proper location.
  • Ensure all equipment, and area, is properly set-up in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use.
  • Performs set-up inspections, first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections as required.
  • Monitor equipment and tool wear and request external maintenance when required.
  • Perform simple machine maintenance and repair as required.

Pay rate

  • Up to £13 per hour (possibility to increase after 3 months)
