In this role, you will be responsible for managing and carrying out designs for clean water Developer Services schemes, Requisitions, Diversions and Off-Site works. As Lead Design Engineer you will be completing designs for an ongoing delivery programme to ensure schemes are designed to meet contractual Levels of Service. You will also be responsible for managing the design team to ensure that designs are produced in line with SWW specifications and UKWIR Code of Practice for the Self Laying of Water Mains. As part of the role you will be managing and co-ordinating Complex designs with third party design consultants.
What do we need from you?
We are looking for someone who has experience working on clean water related projects and Developer Services works. You will be registered either as an Incorporated Engineer, or higher, with appropriate recognised professional institution (such as CIWEM, ICE or IWO) or S/NVQ Level 3 in Network Mains Design/ CABWI Level 3- Diploma Designing Water Networks and Degree qualified in Design Engineering or similar BEng or BSc.
Proficient planning and co-ordination, strong stakeholder engagement and competent in reviewing, understanding and managing design would also be expected.
