Lead Estimator - Facilities Management

Location: Flexible working available, where you will be based out of one of the following offices - Basingstoke, Loughton, Sheffield or Cardiff. There will be home working along with some travel to other offices and sites across the UK as and when required.

Business Area: Kier Places - Facilities Management

Contract & hours: Permanent, full time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

We're looking for a Lead Estimator to join our brilliant Bid Team based out of one of the following offices - Basingstoke, Loughton, Sheffield or Cardiff. Location: Basingstoke or Loughton or Sheffield or Cardiff - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office and sites required.

Contract: Permanent, Full Time. Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm - flexible hours available if desired, just let us know



Responsibilities

As Lead Estimator, you'll be working within the Bid Team, supporting them in the pricing for the statutory, repairs and projects side of the Kier Places FM portfolio, focussing on long-term contracts together with our Housing Maintenance portfolio.

Your day to day will include:

  • This role will be focused on pricing and winning new tenders and existing framework opportunities for the business. You will be responsible for all elements of the pricing for bids, from modelling the costs and assessing the margins, through to completing bid pricing documents and client presentations. This will require you to manage robust and long-term relationships with subcontractors and internal teams.
  • Management of a small team of Estimators within our existing team in both Facilities Management and Housing Maintenance
  • You will need to assist with the production of tender documents, attend pre-tender and post tender interviews and provide data as requested
  • Full handover the Operations post-bid and involvement in mobilisation to ensure it's as per the bid assumptions.

    This role of Lead Estimator is great for you if:



  • You are a Senior Estimator looking for a new challenge with specific FM / Housing Maintenance experience
  • You have experience working within Government FM works bidding (E.g. CCS framework)
  • You have Full knowledge of SFG20 and FM pricing methodologies
  • You have a History of complex modelling with robust outputs
