Location: Birmingham

Project HS2 on the EK Joint Venter.

This is your chance to join Kier, working in Joint venture with Eiffage, on Europe's on Europe's largest civil engineering project connecting London to Birmingham in a once in a life time project.

About the role.

  • You will work with the wider collaboration team to help transform the way that we work, think and behave by identifying smarter ways to address complex or inefficient processes and technical challenges.
  • You will support colleagues in all functions by identifying and developing opportunities and executing structured interventions to build capability that result in high impact and measurable change.
  • You will be responsible for the management of benefits, costs, innovation, risk and knowledge management as an enabler of better value; constantly looking for areas of improvement throughout the wider project team.
  • You will support implementation activities, roll out practical Lean tools, coach on Lean capabilities, undertake process analysis, mapping and business case development, collate data, track benefits and independently validate opportunities whilst engaging effectively with your stakeholders.
  • You will be an ambassador for Business Improvement and help lead our culture of continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own, develop and manage the Lean Implementation and Value Management plans and comply with relevant client, contract and works information requirements.
  • Support senior decision-making through costed business cases that clearly convey the rationale for change.
  • Be the go to person for specialist business improvement and lean expertise; leading the EK Lean Steering Group and representing the JV at the HS2 Lean forum
  • Work collaboratively with relevant specialists, supply chain, HS2 and other stakeholders on a range of business improvement projects to develop realistic implementation plans that deliver on time through integrated work streams
  • Develop a practical Lean toolkit and educate the teams in the best way to apply tecniques.
  • Co-ordinate control boards, best practise visual management and weekly review. Schedule.
  • Identify and track benefits, create tangible examples, case studies and share best practise
  • Lead collaborative planning
  • Own the design of end-to-end improvement opportunities, identifying and mitigating associated risks to eliminate waste and create exemplar business process
  • Lead, motivate, and support project teams of people from diverse backgrounds and varied experience
