Days available: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
9am - 3pm with 1 hour break
The key to this role will be ensuring that all our young people receive a high standard of education whilst learning in a safe, clean and positive environment.
The role will include working with mixture of students with varied learning needs in a Gas & Plumbing training centre. The main expectation of this role will require you to provide 1-1 student support; other responsibilities include monitoring the behaviour and progress of the student. It will be key to develop a working relationship.
To facilitate this, you will follow guidance on how best to provide support during education and communal periods and proactively contribute to the individual support plans we have in place for each student.
You'll take an active role in supporting learning in lessons and during off site educational activities and will work collaboratively with teaching staff to support and record progress.
You will help maintain a calm environment to promote learning and be proactive to support our students in periods of heightened anxiety.

* Experience working within special needs and/or support/care roles (either in a paid or personal environment).
* A robust, positive and creative approach in meeting the needs of our students.
* Good interpersonal, communication and team working skills.
* Able to work within the parameters of the physical demands of the job role.
* Have or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS
