Kier Highways are currently recruiting for a Liaison Officer.

Kier Highways design roads, bridges and intelligent transport systems (ITS), covering strategic and nationally important roads, as well as local roads serving local communities. Our projects range from major improvements to complete renewals of roads and structures. With specialist teams, we manage complex works from conception through to handover at the end of maintenance periods.







Key Responsibilities:







  • Providing postal, telephone, and e-mail support for transmission of customer enquiries, complaints and responses as appropriate;




  • Dealing promptly with any enquiry, query or complaint referred to the project by any party;




  • Documenting each enquiry, query or complaint with details of how the issue was closed out




  • Promptly directing any communication which is either not project related to the appropriate person;




  • Maintaining a log detailing all customer queries, and complaints received, and the actions taken by M6 J13-15 in response;




  • Liaison with site teams to rectify complaints in a timely fashion;




  • Visiting customers to ensure both parties are satisfied that complaints have been closed out successfully;




  • Adhering to all Liaison Procedures;




  • Providing material for Community Relations activities;




  • Coordinating and attending community relations events;




  • Liaison with all stakeholders;




  • Providing the information for leaflets and/or e-newsletters;




  • Providing the information to be uploaded to the project website on a weekly basis (or if necessary more frequent) to provide details of phasing, explain on-going work and advise of what to expect within the next four weeks;




  • Work with Employment Skills Coordinator to assist with school talks




  • BIM coordination




  • Administer any corporate social responsibility events




  • Support Considerate Constructor Scheme activities




  • Charity event coordination and support.
