The Role: To ensure that the lift service and repair is executed efficiently on various sites on your assigned route whilst providing a high quality of customer service. Attend all service visits within contractual time frames, ensuring that all minor repairs are carried out in a professional, competent and timely manner. To take responsibility for any paired mate to instruct on a technical level, maintain and Health & Safety best practices. The basic salary you start on will depend on experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Service visits with minimum callbacks this includes routine checks on gears, motors, overload detection devices, brakes, doors and locks.
Minor repairs or isolating problems until further service can be carried out.
Managing your own designated service route comprising of 80 units
Follow lift manuals/diagrams accurately when necessary.
Adhere to quality assurance; health and safety and environmental standards
Advise the Service Manager of daily activities & advice on technical issues and outstanding works.
Lift service & repairs for passenger lifts, goods lifts on both electrical traction & hydraulic lifting equipment.
Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) - scheduled routine inspections on electrical equipment, gears, hydraulics, drive systems, motors, overload detection devices, brakes, doors and locks.
Emergency call-out - standby rota for calls one week in five- responding to out-of-hours breakdowns; carrying out repairs or isolating problems until a full service can be carried out.
The Candidate:
-
NVQ 3 or equivalent in Lift Engineering
A background in lift engineering,
Minimum of 3 years of experience post qualification in either service or repair work on a variety of lifting equipment and competent on a range of manufacturers
Ability to follow lift manuals and diagrams accurately reading electrical diagrams
Strong electrical & mechanical understanding
Demonstrate fault finding skills and knowledge of various types of lift equipment.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a variety of people, able to work under pressure with honesty and integrity
