Our client is looking for an experienced couple to help run and maintain a 110-acre commercial holiday let site in East Yorkshire, with one day per week commitment to the owners' private property, 45 minutes away, therefore being a proficient driver is essential with a full UK Licence.

They currently have three holiday lets on the Estate, which combined, sleep 23 people. The holiday let business is new and due to its success so far, will grow with further accommodation becoming available.

The Estate is a beautiful private and mature estate with the Owners Head Office and sporting facilities, it is essential that the applicants have no allergies to horses due to a significant active stable & horse facilities on site therefore it would be very beneficial to have been around horses previously. The owners have two dogs so applicants must adore dogs, as the role would require them to look after the dogs when the owners are away on personal and business travels. Also when the dogs are on the Estate they will require feeding and walking whilst the owners are in the office.

The owners are looking for a couple (Live In Couple: Housekeeper & Gardner / Handyperson) to come and live and treat the estate as if it was their home, who are flexible, with a can-do attitude and not fazed by diverse duties; as one day, you could be driving to the airport, the next day help setting up a large garden party, cleaning the owners' cars, to polishing the silver!

The role is a live in position, in a lodge on the estate, with a combined salary of £40k including all bills, except personal mobile phones and use of a company car. Uniform provided. Recruiting to start ASAP.

The candidate will also be responsible for the welcome packs and sundries for the guests.

Laundry for the rentals is currently outsourced and the candidate would manage the laundry service company.

The owners from time to time host large parties using all the rentals together. The candidate would assist the owners and events manager on such occasions, as well as supporting any events at the owners' private residence.

It would be the candidates' responsibility to maintain a log book for services for the boiler, aga and all necessary appliances and book future services, where appropriate, to maintain our consist high level of health & safety (experience of health & safety would be desirable).

The rental properties are heated through the sites biomass boiler, with oil combi-boilers as a back-up. The owners have an outsourced maintenance team who manage the boiler, however you would be responsible for the ordering of pellets and oil.

Driving duties will be part of this role and would involve taking the owners to the airport, social events and would need to wear a jacket when appropriate. They would also be responsible for the cleanliness of two vehicles.
