The role

As Local HR Business Partner you will support the Marine Site Characterisation and Marine Asset Integrity business lines in Aberdeen. You will support organisational effectiveness, talent management and change management initiatives to employees and managers on key people matters. The ideal candidate will contribute at both the hands-on and strategic levels to cultivate an inclusive and high performing culture as the organization grows.   • Support and manage People & Capability initiatives and projects including workforce planning, talent rotation, employee engagement and learning and development.
  • Develop strategies to ensure People & Capability initiatives and programs reinforce the company's culture and values and are differentiators in the market.
  • Create and roll out local programs and initiatives to retain current employees and attract candidates with critical skills in the highly competitive market and promote Fugro as a 'best place to work'. This includes executing employee communication and engagement initiatives through a variety of forums.
  • Conduct regular analysis of location People & Capability metrics - growth, engagement, attrition, et.al - and share recommendations based on visible trends.
  • Manage employee relations issues by providing guidance to employees and managers on problem resolution, aligned with legal and organizational policies and regulations.
  • Attend strategic planning meetings and department leadership meetings to align our people agenda with operational execution.
  • Partner with the Global HR team on projects and programs.
  • Drive change in an organisation, taking charge of the entire change management process and optimising accordingly for the business line at location level

Who we're looking for:

You will have extensive HR business partnering experience working within/across an international context; proven ability to work in a matrix organization is preferred.

  • Comprehensive experience implementing HR initiatives and managing the provision of services related to performance management, employee engagement, employee relations and change management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Achievement orientated and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated an ability to understand business needs and anticipate future problems/risk, develop simple and effective solutions.
  • Strong collaboration focus to ensure shared goals are realized.
  • Proven relationship development skills with business leaders, as a trusted advisor.
  • Analytical ability to collect and synthesize large quantities of data, tell the story, and formulate recommendation based on data trends and insights.
  • Demonstrated success as a People Business Partner in a heavily matrixed, global organization; experience supporting teams in technology or engineering preferred.
  • Core knowledge of human resources principles, concepts, processes and best practises.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives exercising sound judgment, solutions orientation, and flexibility.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, verbal and written communications skills.
