We have an exciting new opportunity for a confident and highly motivated Logistics Compliance Manager to join our Logistics division. You will be responsible for ensuring each Aggregates, Asphalt & Readymix haulier is carrying-out the legal, safety and environmental requirements of the business. About the role This position will cover the Midlands region requiring daily travel to numerous sites. Reporting into the Regional Logistics Manager you will be developing the haulage network to ensure the business optimises volumes as well as ensuring the highest customer care to our current hauliers. Other elements to the role include: Haulier, Vehicle and Driver auditing, to agreed frequency, including entry onto the appropriate systems, and follow-up with the relevant haulier where findings fall short of required standards Work with the Regional Logistics Manager on items to continuously improve the performance of hauliers in all areas. Maintain constant liaison with hauliers, including at their premises, to support this activity Support the development of the haulage fleet and external haulage networks Application of haulier / driver consequence management mode (disciplinary management model) Supporting businesses with robust haulier complaint (e.g. customer, quality, member of public) with investigation as necessary Support and encourage hauliers to develop a proactive approach to safety management Following training in the role of a FORS auditor, complete FORS audits as required, including necessary follow-up Actively participate in formulation of training materials and chase hauliers to maximise training rollout Delivery & management of logistics-related safety campaigns, including proactive use of telematics Conduct haulier induction briefings at the start of major projects, and new haulier business orientation Review, maintain and operate any other Logistics systems used by Aggregate Industries Positively influence the haulier’s perception of Aggregate Industries What will you bring? Full driving licence Fleet management experience General haulage knowledge Strong interpersonal skills Geographical knowledge Experienced in using various IT systems and packages Transport Manager CPC FORS practitioner is desirable ?
