Responsibilities
As a Logistics Coordinator for the Devonport Royal Dockyard, you be responsible for assisting with the implementation of Vehicle Management System (VMS) to the supply chain and project.
As Logistics Coordinator your day to day will include:
- Managing vehicle bookings and approval, in line with access restrictions and limitations, and delivered on time
- Produce & present reports and data related to the VMS, its effectiveness and compliance
- Liaise with supply chain and operator/clients' team on logistic and traffic issues
- Liaise with colleagues to provide and manage vehicle movements and delivery forecasts
- Coordinate and communicate with delivery drivers, site teams and gate management to ensure deliveries are received within limited slots with limited disruption
Who are we looking for?
This role of Logistics Coordinator is great for if you:
- Experienced in successful logistics management and administration
- Thorough knowledge of logistic and driver procedures and working methods
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels
- Confident use of Microsoft office software to compile and present information within varied forums
- Qualified to HNC level, graduate or equivalent
