The Opportunity:

Due to continued growth, our prestigious business unit Select Plant Hire is looking for a Senior Logistics Manager to join our central team.

This is a great opportunity to join the Select Logistics team. This role is site based and essential in assisting the tender and project teams in establishing sustainable logistics in the engine room of project delivery ensuring a seamless logistics strategy through to project mobilisation.

Do you have experience in internal and external relationship management within major project tenders of high amounts of complex cross-functional teams?

Do you have proven experience working on major projects and excel at building solid stakeholder engagement?

What will the role look like?

  • This role will build on the experience gained through our Logistics community ensuring best practices are put in place and communicated to the central logistics team for sharing across the business.

What skills & experience are we looking for?

  • Experience in managing data centre projects
  • Experience in creating major project logistics strategy documents including Site/ Factory set-up mobilisation plans
  • Have good knowledge and experience in Construction Consolidation Centres (CCC)
  • Have a developing knowledge of strategic planning and project/programme management systems
  • Proven data analysis experience and experience in Construction activities and plant movements.
  • Knowledge of data scope/voyage control booking systems
  • Member of Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT)
  • SMSTS trained
  • NVQL6 qualification
  • Have a working knowledge of the safety of loads of vehicles and H&S standards for pedestrian access routes
  • Competent IT skills - MS Applications and use of delivery management systems, access control and telematics
  • Having good interpersonal skills, being organised and proactive and being programme production driven
  • An appointed person certificate would be an advantage.
