Salary: circa £45,000 p.a.
Full time, Min 6 month contract - potential to be permanent
Based In Bristol
We are looking for an experienced logistics and shipping manager to join an exciting retail motorsport brand with three sites manufacturing around the globe.
As the business starts a new growth strategy, they need to ensure they have a clear logistics and shipping plan to meet the needs of the organisation. Now we need an experience Manager to oversee the Logistics and shipping operations to ensure they are operating efficiently and effectively.
What will I need to be successful at?
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with the core competencies of:
To be able to set up an efficient and effective system for European Hub to receive shipments from Asia
Design a best practice routing method per product type within the European sites (Hungary & UK) to delivery worldwide and to train location based warehouse managers (Europe and Asia)
Create an effective cost reducing costing model for shipping requirements of product worldwide, having competence with import & export procedures for custom clearance
Achieve smooth routing operation with large retail clients and shipping & logistics agents by working with various guidelines, procedures and systems.
Recommend or adapt internal software for effective stock management to deliver on sales orders
Set up a US logistics system to receive shipments from UK and Asia in best cost method
Experience of online sales processes and timing windows regarding stock and tax implications
