LSAs work with vulnerable students and learners with disabilities to provide the extra support and care they need to flourish in their education. The work involves one-to-one support with learning, and may also involve personal care.
If you have experience providing support and one-to-one care to people with disabilities or learning difficulties, a role as a Learning Support Assistant could be perfect for you!
You will…
*Have a calm, patient and flexible approach
*Have previous experience of providing support to young people, ideally in the 16-19 age groups
*Possess a level 2 qualification in English and Maths at grade C or above
*Possess excellent organisational and communication skills
*Have the ability to develop a rapport as a responsible and trustworthy role model with learners
*Hold an enhanced DBS Certificate, or be willing to apply for one
Previous experience in education is not essential - if you have worked in a care environment, we'd still love to hear from you!
