Maintenance Engineer - Ffestiniog Quarry
We're delighted to advertise a new position for a Maintenance Engineer at our newly opened Ffestiniog Quarry, near Blaenau Ffestiniog working with world renowned Welsh Slate.
At Breedon, we can offer a truly different quarrying role and our teams take immense pride in their work and the production of our slate products. We are very ambitious and you'll be instrumental in supporting our senior management team grow our Ffestiniog site. As a whole we endeavor to grow the slate product portfolio from our quarries and continue to expand our footprint and we'd like to take you on that journey with us.
Key Responsibilities
In the beautiful Snowdonia National Park, you'll be working on a busy slate quarry and minerals processing plant. You'll enjoy a pro-active approach to maintenance but won't shy away from getting stuck in responding to plant breakdowns. Our goal is to achieve high plant availability and production efficiency and you'll work with our management team to deliver this; planning preventative maintenance activity to ensure plant and equipment are safe, effective and fit for purpose.
Do you have?
- Experience as a fixed plant maintenance engineer within an extractives or heavy industrial environment
- A full UK driving licence
- Knowledge and experience of welding & fabrication, working in confined spaces and working at heights.
You will also be able to work on your own initiative and will be trusted to do so; good problem-solving skills are essential!
You'll be flexible in your approach to work, with some weekend work required to help us achieve all of the above.
