We're delighted to advertise an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join our West ReadyMix Concrete team based in the West Midlands. As a Maintenance Engineer you'll enjoy problem solving and working as part of a wider team. You'll be working to identify the root cause for mechanical defects and breakdowns, offering solutions to problematic equipment, aiming to resolve problems in a time efficient and safe manner. You'll support the wider Maintenance team to identify and support preventative maintenance activities across our readymix concrete plants. Key Responsibilities You will work with our Maintenance Team Leader to support the development of a preventative maintenance system; carrying out planned maintenance activities to ensure that our plants operate safely and reliably. You will also play a key 'hands on' role in the planning and implementation of plant improvements. You will need to have the ability to quickly fault find, respond to any unplanned plant shutdowns and work closely with other team members and contractors as required. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Experience in an industrial maintenance role
  • Knowledge and experience of hydraulics, concrete pan mixers, welding, fabrication and mechanics.
  • NVQ in Mechanical Maintenance or BTEC equivalent.
  • A full UK driving licence
  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health and Safety and/or NEBOSH qualification (advantageous)
