Leading UK manufacturer of bricks, walling and masonry solutions, from aggregates, mortars, block stone, paving, kerbing and civils.

The Opportunity
Looking for a Maintenance Engineer/ Multi-skilled Engineer, who has come from, or currently works in a similar production environment, with a strong emphasis on machinery/ mechanicals with heavy plant / machinery experience, to assist with the planning for maintenance engineering activities, to complete PPM safely and on time. This is a 2 shift rota (6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm).

Core skills/ experience
Candidates for the Maintenance Engineer Multi-skilled Engineer position will be able to demonstrate the following skills/ experience:

  • Current experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Fitter, Multi-skilled Engineer (all environments/ sectors considered)
  • Respond to breakdowns and repair, as required for both Mechanical & Electrical.
  • Experience of maintaining heavy plant - pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors etc
  • Comfortable working as part of a team, but also be able to run/ take the lead on the plant maintenance at certain times
  • carry out all activities with in accordance with company quality and Health & Safety policies.
  • Ensure necessary maintenance of all equipment involved in production and scheduled maintenance is carried out, as per the PPM schedule.

The role is paying between £33-35K, which equates to £16-£17 per hour incorporating the shift allowances. Overtime will also be available , so the salary can be significantly increased.
