Breedon Group plc is the largest independent construction materials group in the UK. They operate the country's largest cement plant, two cement import terminals, around 60 quarries, 26 asphalt plants, 200 ready-mixed concrete & mortar plants and three concrete block plants, employing around 2,300 people nationwide.
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Fitter at our Minffordd Quarry in Gwynedd, North West Wales.
The role will involve carrying out preventative maintenance on static and mobile plant and equipment, as well as responding to emergency machine break downs. You will also have involvement with fabrication, installation and movements of existing machines, and overhauling and repairing of machines and equipment. Other duties will include ensuring machines and equipment on site are safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose, and working together with the Quarry Manager to allow jobs to run smoothly.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a static and mobile plant Fitter at a hard rock quarry. It is essential that you have experience in welding and fabrication and ideally should hold or be working towards NVQ level 2 in Mechanical Engineering.
