Trades supervisor - East Midlands - Fixed term contract 6 months initially - great opportunity for permanent work.
Company
You will have a great opportunity on a fixed term contract assignment (permanent role is available for the right candidate) to work with a large housing association in the East Midlands area. You will work within an organisation on the repairs team covering rental, leasehold and shared ownership tenants across the geographical area.
Job Role
You will be based in the Derbyshire area but will have responsibility for multi-site working. Your role will be to supervise and co-ordinate the planned, reactive repairs and fencing works for the housing association, working with the repairs manager you will ensure the trades team are supervised and act as team leader for the staff, manage the performance of the team and keeping effective and up to date records of all works carried out.
Your key remit will be to monitor and co-ordinate the planned and reactive maintenance jobs from start to finish, including pre and post work inspections. You will be responsible for multi-site working and will require a driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
Working hours will be 35 hours per week.
Person
You will be an experienced supervisor, scheduler or co-ordinator of works in a social housing role (decent homes experience preferable). You will have experience of working on the tools and seeing works progress from start to finish and you will have a relevant trade qualification.
You will have experience of working within the regulations relating to health and safety in particular in regards to the CDM regulations. This is a customer facing role and therefore you will be customer focused and professional manner. You will be a positive and forward thinking individual capable of working within a team and leading by example.
