Kier Places are recruiting now for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Stafford to work upon a facilities management contact we hold with Staffordshire Police, where you will support the Operations and Maintenance Manager to deliver mobile and static facilities management services to required contract specifications.
Key Responsibilities
As our Maintenance Technician, we will look to you to carry out reactive calls & daily inspections of the site as directed, action any issues arising regarding maintenance defects generated from the helpdesk; to complete all PPMs & update PPM system as required; check M&E systems to ensure building services are functioning correctly; and investigate any alarms and action as necessary.
The role will include general building maintenance duties to ensure the site meets the required standard, which will include but not limited to: low level lamp changing, minor joinery repairs, minor plumbing repairs, supporting moves and changes, support grounds maintenance such as litter picking, weeding, portering duties, support to cleaning and other tasks relative to the skill level of the role.
For this role you should be available to open and close the buildings as required to allow for use outside of normal business hours, and work additional hours on an out of hours rota (1 week in 5 on average).
What do we need from you?
The ideal Maintenance Technician will have a similar building maintenance background, having conducted a variety of general maintenance tasks, and hold a full UK driving licence.
