An opportunity for a Major Projects Liaison Manager to manage site operations (including the fulfilment of the role of Principal Contractor under CDM on Provider Works and undertaking the role of Liaisons Manager with Major Projects plus other duties within the traffic management team)
Key Responsibilities
As Major Projects Liaison Manager you will be managing and administering the construction works in accordance with the contract. Overseeing fulfilment of the duties of the Principal Contractor under CDM and/or undertaking the role of the liaison's manager under the NEC conditions of contract. Ensuring the Kier 5 SHE Basics, Training and Competence, Duties within the traffic management team, Risk Assessment for every task, Induction for every worker, Safe System of Work and Point of Work Risk Assessment are embedded for all works. Guaranteeing effective implementation of the Construction Phase Plan including compliance with specific requirements (eg. site inductions and site rules). Make sure that a robust construction program is prepared, monitored and maintained. Organising and chairing regular meetings with the contractor to review progress and programs and participating in Monthly Progress Meetings with senior personnel from the National Highways, Kier Highways and contractor. Verifying working practices comply with the relevant Quality Plans, Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Inspection and Test Plans.
What do we need from you?
Experience in the delivery of the Principal Contractor's obligations under the CDM Regulations 2015 and/or role of the Supervisor under the NEC. Experience in the successful delivery of highway renewals and improvement schemes involving restricted site availability (e.g. night-time working). Experience of managing the concurrent delivery of a number of schemes. SMSTS (5 Day CITB Site Manager's Safety Training Scheme). Experience and understanding of programming of works, Conversant with the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
