Job Role
For the role of Major Projects Valuer you will be a qualified general practice chartered Surveyor who will lead the management and delivery of major property projects and contribute to comprehensive estate management.
You will be required to undertake complex sensitive casework and valuations in relation to acquisitions, both by agreement and using compulsory purchase powers and to undertake both landlord and tenant and general estate management duties.
You will be a the lead officer and main point of contact in relation to a £90m flood defence project along the route of the local river.
You will as Major Projects Valuer be required to liaise with adjoining land owners in obtaining access rights, and agreeing figures for compensation were land is taken or blighted in completing the project.
You will be required to procure and manage consultancy contracts in respect to the provision of expert advice and services. You will also be required to manage allocated capital and revenue budgets
Person
You will have experience of Compulsory acquisition and compensation, and estate management
You must hold a degree in Estate management or be able to show relevant knowledge gained through work experience.
You must be a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
You would preferably have a project management qualification for example Prince 2 or equivalent.
You must be an effective communicator who is able to express and present ideas and concepts in public forums, with an advanced ability to negotiate with and influence individuals and professional representatives.
You will be organised and have a methodical approach to problem solving.
