Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Finance Function in Western and Wales
- Liaise with the Finance community in Kier Construction.
- Ownership of overheads, reporting, forecasting and group recharging.
- Responsible for review of balance sheet reconciliations
- Optimize utilisation of working capital
- Costing of wages, Intercompany invoices, purchasing cards etc. to ensure correct allocation of charges.
- Identify areas of risk and follow up proposed solutions
- Ensure operating units adhere to Kier standing orders and procedures
- Assist operational and commercial management as required
Other Supportive Duties:
- Assisting in the production monthly MAPS, profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and management accounts. Investigate and report upon variances
- Audit VCRs; ensure operating units properly report contract performance
- Review site based trading and cash flows forecasts
- Assisting with cash flow forecasts, quarterly reviews, consolidation packs and annual budget
Key Skills / Qualifications:
- Part or Fully Qualified
- Construction industry experience preferable but not necessary as training will be given.
- Oracle experience would be preferable
- Computer literate with strong excel skills
- Commercially aware
- Capable of liaising with, supporting and influencing operational / commercial management
- Must be able to produce high quality management information
- Ability to work on own initiative
