Role: Management Accountant



Location: Leeds







Kier Living Ltd is looking to recruit a Management Accountant, on a 12-month fixed term contract, who will report to the Regional Head of Finance. The successful post-holder will be responsible for supporting the evaluation of financial and non-financial performance within the Northern region of Kier Living Ltd.







Key Responsibilities:



  • Production of financial statements including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and cash flows for Joint Venture companies with Kier Living partners.
  • Liaising with auditors and preparation of statutory accounts for Joint Venture companies.
  • Management of Joint Venture cash forecasting and payment instructions.
  • Preparation of monthly reporting pack for Joint Venture partners. Assistance with regulatory returns for Joint Venture partners and designated main point of contact.
  • Management of the monthly drawdown process for third party funded Joint Ventures, including submission of monthly drawdown packs. Designated main point of contact for third party lender.
  • Preparation and submission of the Living Northern weekly cash forecast and monthly cashflow variance analysis.
  • Management of the Living Northern plot sales schedule and distribution of weekly sales reports.
  • Production of cash flows for Living Northern Community Living sites.
  • Attendance at site progress meetings.
  • Support shared service accounts team with accounts payable queries and sales ledger / credit control queries.
  • Provide support to the Regional Financial Controller and Regional Head of Finance with adhoc projects and analysis.
  • Key Skills and Qualifications:



  • Holds a relevant financial accounting qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
  • Excellent IT skills and specifically strong financial modelling using Microsoft Excel
  • Experience of working in management and financial accounting
  • Ability to analyse and interpret financial information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management
  • Holder of a Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience of Oracle would be desirable but not essential
  • Housebuilding experience would be desirable but not essential
  • Experience of joint venture accounting would be desirable but not essential.
