Kier Utilities work as part of a framework for Western Power Distribution to ensure its customers have power in their homes, businesses, schools and hospitals. We are an essential member of the team, mainly working on reactive and planned maintenance works.

We employ many teams across the region, whose role it is to either respond to emergencies to dig down in the street or on private property to give our client access to repair their asset, or to lay new mains cables as part of their ongoing planned maintenance programme. Our responsibility begins with planning the works and finishes with us putting the site back to the same or better condition than when we arrived.

We need a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join the busy contract in Lutterworth, the main responsibility of the MQS will be to increase value, reduce cost, drive profit and manage risk in a safe and ethical manner. Some of your other responsibilities will be to provide commercial input including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team, help ensure that business targets and KPI's are exceeded. You'll also be preparing commercial reports together with review of results and consideration of trends with other contract team members.

What do we need from you?

We need someone who's educated to degree level or has equivalent experience in a similar position. Experience managing subcontractors and knowledge of the Utilities industry is essential. We also need someone with excellent attention to detail and who can manage multiple tasks at one time.
