Location: Working on projects within a 1-hour commute from our office in Rushden, Northamptonshire.
Contract: Permanent, full time.
Responsibilities
Kier Construction are looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead projects based out of our Rushden office. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects from Education to commercial, healthcare, leisure, public sector and more!
Your day to day will include:
- Manage and develop the commercial team, ensuring workload is covered effectively and to ensure compliance and processes are being followed.
- Oversee the commercial function within an area of the business ensuring robust and accurate reporting processes and controls exist, undertaking the day to day management of the commercial function within the section.
- Ensure that commercial and administrative systems, budgets and cost control procedures are utilised.
- Produce / compile accurate forecasts / budget information and produce accurate reports to client, maintaining and
- improving client relations as well as ensuring full entitlement under the contract is achieved.
This role of Managing Quantity Surveyor is great for you if you have:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Holds the relevant qualifications (e.g. Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management).
- Working knowledge of the construction industry, commercial and procurement processes and procedures.
- Experience within a similar role.
