Marketing Executive
Full-time, permanent position
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Marketing Team at one of Britain's most iconic estates. Blenheim is a hugely diverse business, a world-class visitor attraction with a variety of cultural and sporting events, a wedding and banqueting venue, a unique filming location and producer of natural mineral water, a major property owner and investor, a construction business, and a charitable foundation.
Reporting to our Marketing Manager, you will be working within the Blenheim and Blenheim Palace marketing strategy to plan and execute traditional marketing campaigns and design, maintain and supply content for Blenheim and Blenheim Palace on and off-site communication channels, with focussed delivery to core audiences to drive ROI.
Role responsibilities
Campaign delivery:
- Creating and delivering audience-focused content with evidence-based insight and ROI across multi-layered KPIs
- Responsibility for social media for the Palace and Blenheim across all platforms
- Working with the Advertising Manager to create advertising campaigns that suit required formats and roll out across booked media
- Create and deliver print-based media
- Work with suppliers to brief, create and deliver collateral across traditional media requirements
- Create and deliver onsite visitor interpretation and signage
- Photography - writing briefs for photographers and content producers and overseeing delivery
- Providing marketing to support secondary spend and added-value products
- Working closely across Blenheim teams to develop and produce stories, ensuing there is new content being produced
- Have reactive plans in place to be able to act quickly - either to deliver additional visitor numbers or crisis comms
- Putting together children's trails, and developing park and garden trails
- Working on activities with the Events team for key dates such as Easter, summer etc
- Ensuring that our Green Goal is a key focus across all activities across all brands
Web and Social - working with the Digital team to deliver:
- Social media management: package up and deliver content, engage, and grow all our social channels. Putting together key stories and scheduling content
- Testing new creative ideas and concepts
- Working with the Digital team on paid advertising
- Working closely with our third-party event partners, posting about events and key information
- Social posting, content and scheduling websites, and ensure that the Blenheim Palace and Blenheim websites are up to date
- Working with influencers and celebrities to deliver interest and visitors to the Palace, directly and through agencies
PR:
- Create and deliver PR stories across all areas of the business, and share with stakeholders and team members
- Complete and submit award applications across the brands, identify new opportunities
- Organise and facilitate FAM and filming-based awareness driving delivery, including meeting and greeting
- Develop an internal comms plan, communicating all PR activity with other teams
- Work in conjunction with the rest of the PR and Marketing teams on special and launch events
Partnerships:
- Support event partner promotions, working with the Marketing and Operations teams, ensuring that Blenheim brand guidelines are adhered to
- Source new and build upon existing partnership relations to increase awareness and drive return
- Supply content to stakeholders and partners as and when required to deliver up-to-date product and pricing
- Work with any sponsors for our events, including putting together packages and benefits
Other responsibilities:
- Support the Marketing Manager as required
- Administration support within the team, including managing the marketing email inbox, in conjunction with the Marketing Assistant
- Supporting the events and comms calendar to ensure that all messaging is well-timed and the marketing messages are relevant
- Working to assist the Marketing Manager with Location Managers on any large filming projects
What we are looking for:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including A-Level English
- A marketing qualification is advantageous but not essential
- Well-organised, time-efficient and proactive
- Experience of working in an agency or in a client-side marketing role (3-5 years)
- Excellent social media experience
- Able to work autonomously as well as in a team
- Used to working across multiple marketing tactics eg PR, Digital, Advertising, Partnerships etc
- Experience working in the Heritage or Tourism sectors
