Location: Aylesford, Kent - site based

The Kier Highways Major Projects division are currently recruiting for an Materials Administrator to join the Smart Motorways business.
Kier is working in collaboration with Highways England to deliver multiple Smart Motorways schemes across the UK, converting hard shoulders in to running lanes and installing sensors and signs to monitor and manage traffic flow so as to improve journey times in areas suffering from congestion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tasks will include ordering of materials
- Uploading of orders onto CPA system
- Obtaining authorisation for costs
- Maintain effective and accurate records of orders
- Monitoring of order status for all bulk / call off orders
- Entering GRNs onto system
- Liaising with site team to ensure all orders are placed in a timely manner
- Dealing with queries relating to material issues
- Liaising with suppliers
- Support the Office Manager with any site based administration.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Good standard of education
- Previous administrative experience (construction industry Desirable but not essential)
- Must be IT literate with understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Efficient and professional approach with the ability to multi-task
- Possess strong communication, organisational and time management skills
- General willingness to be helpful, enthusiastic and flexible
- Able to work as an individual and as part of a team
