Currently, our client has various projects between London and Manchester which are being executed from the Nottingham Head Office. Due to continued growth of the business, they are now seeking a Lead Quantity Surveyor to manage their clients in the South East and London.

The successful candidate will be initially based at one of their client offices in the south east (wherever is closer for you) before opening up a regional office in the South East wherever is suitable for you. For example, if you live in St Albans, you could open the new office in St Albans.

This is a long term role which will be well backed by the company owner, all he is looking for in return is hard work and loyalty to see this next stage of the company development through.

You will be trusted to offer commercial services to various BMS companies in the South East and maintain client relationships.

The successful candidate should have a strong background in M&E Quantity Surveying (BMS experience would be ideal but not essential), be client facing, have hands on Quantity Surveying experience with a contractor or sub contractor and the ability to work under minimal supervision.

Requirements:

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or related
  • Strong M&E QS experience
  • Controls systems, ventilation, fire systems, security systems, power systems, lighting etc would be ideal but not essential
  • Main or Sub Contractor background
  • Can work under minimal supervision
  • Client facing
  • Confident in ability to open an office and grow / manage a team
  • Willing to travel to various client offices when needed
  • Will to travel to Nottingham 1 day per week / 2 weeks for senior management meetings
