Responsibilities
As a Design Engineer, you'll be working within the internal MEP building services design team , supporting them and the Senior Mechanical Design Engineers in development of fully detailed working designs for installation
Your day to day will include:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will support and develop cost effective, coordinated working designs that includes all information to construct the project, or design within the BSRIA definitions/level to be delivered for the project stage agreed. You will input into the design process in a constructive manner with all relevant information and stakeholders to develop the Mechanical/HVAC Building Services scheme design liaising with the Senior Design Engineer, project design team, suppliers and specialist sub-contractors as required in order to develop the design.
- Risk identification Mitigation and management
- Weekly progress and performance reports
- Management of design information and change control
You will have experience in a similar MEP Mechanical Design Engineer role and have a sound base technical knowledge and understanding of Mechanical Building Services systems. Ideally, you will have experience working with a leading national or regional contractor across commercial, healthcare, education or science projects and working with external MEP design teams.
Additionally, you will liaise with our Construction operation teams and support completion of commissioning activities though witnessing activities. You will also support the pre-construction team with the review and checking of designs produced by others as part of our tender process

- We require you to Hold the relevant industry qualifications
- The ability to communicate technical and none-technical information relative to audience as well as a high level of competence in digital construction methods BIM & Field tools
- Demonstrated commercial awareness and Risk Management
