Mechanical & Process Engineers with a desire to expand their skill set within Quantity Surveying will enjoy working for a market leader in the Project Management Consultancy space and receive full Quantity Surveying mentorship and training. This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring Quantity Surveyor with strong Mechanical & Process skill set to get some key exposure to major projects and Blue-Chip clients in a thriving company.

Roles and Requirements

  • Assist in the Bid Evaluation process including analysing data and identifying areas requiring additional investigation / clarification
  • Partner on the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including the handling of any claims to ensure the client gets best value from works undertaken
  • Assist in negotiating unit rates
  • Assist in creating cost analysis feedback and lessons learned to the client for future works
  • Expertly negotiate with contractors to agree materials quantities based upon detailed designs
  • Prepare budget cost estimates in partnership with senior quantity surveyors
  • Actively partner with clients, responding to their requests accurately and on time
  • Be part of a larger team of quantity surveyors delivering a robust cost management service to the client



Personal Requirements

  • 3-5 years Mechanical and/or Process Engineering experience
  • Excellent client facing skills
  • Qualification in surveying, engineering or trade experience in mechanical field
  • Have an understanding of M&P Systems and demonstrated ability to read services drawings and schematics.
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to optimise projects costs, implement value engineering, and ensure value for money whilst still achieving and delivering the highest standards and quality.
